ight Farms is a 1,070-acre master-planned community
with schools in the acclaimed Prosper Independent
Established in 2012 in Celina, Texas, Light Farms opened with a
summer time barn-raising for its unique Information and Fitness
Center buildings, both framed from reclaimed barn timbers from
the Mohawk River Valley in upstate New York. Now wrapping
up Phase I with 267 lots, Light Farms will include 3,000 homes
at build-out with a projected population of 10,000 residents. 8
of the area’s builders who represent some of the nation’s best,
offer something for everyone at Light Farms, with prices ranging
from $240,000 to the $600,000s and lot sizes from 50 to 80
feet. The response of home buyers has been so strong during
Phase I of Light Farms that the community is delivering more than
531 new lots during the next 12 months to keep up with
demand.
Believing education is an indispensable part of a vibrant community,
RPG designed Light Farms with the idea that children in the
community will be able to safely walk or bike to school throughout
their entire elementary, middle and high school career. In addition,
RPG donated 11 acres within Light Farms and $2 million for Prosper
ISD to build an onsite elementary school, Light Farms Elementary,
which is now under construction, and plans for more on-site schools
and day-cares in future phases. The exemplary Prosper ISD is one of
the fastest-growing school districts in the nation, with a reputation for
excellence and excitement for much more to come. Currently,
students in Light Farms attend Rucker Elementary School (K- 4), Rogers
Middle School ( 5-6), Reynolds Middle School ( 7-8) and Prosper
High School, which is directly adjacent to Light Farms.
One of Light Farms’ most attractive features is its location.
Strategically located less than 15 minutes from some of DFW’s best
shopping, dining and entertainment in Frisco and McKinney, the
main road into the community will be an exit off the future Dallas
North Tollway (DNT), making it even more accessible. Only 30
minutes north of downtown Dallas, its acclaimed Arts District and
world-class dining, Light Farms offers residents the best of both
worlds. To learn more about Light Farms and find your place in the
