Welcome to DFW
allas and Fort Worth may be known as the Metroplex, but they’re kind of like peas
and carrots. They go together beautifully, but each has a very, distinct separate special
identity. And it’s each city’s unique appeal that attracts thousands of relocating families
and individuals to the area every year.
Consider that, according to 2010 Census population data, Dallas gained 0.8 percent from 2000
reaching a population of 1,197,816 people, while neighboring Fort Worth also grew a total population
of 741,206. The 2012 Census estimates Dallas with a population of 1,241, 162 and Fort Worth at
777,992 people. With low cost of living, affordable housing, a temperate climate, top companies,
employment opportunities, a renowned restaurant scene, and two airports that together offer more than
1,900 flights daily, it’s easy to see why the Dallas/Fort Worth area is a great place to put down roots –
in whichever Metroplex city you choose to make your home.
