move to the Lone Star State. Good for you!
Now it’s time to jump those hurdles and
make it happen. Assuming you’re not
moving to start your own business, one of
the most important hurdles is the question,
“Where am I going to work?” The answer
is just a few clicks away.
Most, if not all, of the Web sites owned
by DFW-area businesses and
associations, from the local drug store to
government to Fortune 500 international
conglomerates and beyond, have on
them pages dedicated to profiling
available employment positions, along
with instructions or applications enabling
people to throw their names into the
employment hat, so to speak. If you are
interested in employment with a specific
company, seeing what jobs are available
is little more than a quick search through
its Web site: follow the links entitled
“jobs” or “employment” and you’re there!
In doing so, keep in mind that there are
as many ways to organize a Web site as
there are businesses, so employment
pages are easier to find on some business
sites than others. If an employment link is
not readily obvious, most sites have
“search” boxes that online visitors can use
to look for specific items or information
using keywords, such as, in the case of
work, the aforementioned “jobs” or
“employment.”
